ABOUT THIS ITEM
Description
This is a nice antique Ophthalmoscope, an optometrist's instrument for looking into the eyes. The instrument itself does not have any maker's marks, but it is presented in its original bespoke case, which features a label from Millikin & Lawley, London, inside.
Key features include:
- Removeable screw-in celluloid plastic handle
- Moveable mirror designed to bounce light into the eye
- Changeable lens for different focal lengths, allowing for deeper examination of the eye
Condition: Normal signs of age and use wear, including some surface scuffs, commensurate with its history. The item has been used. The case exhibits some damage to its exterior and wear on the blue velvet interior lining.
Measurements: The case measures approximately 85mm x 60mm x 30mm.
