ABOUT THIS ITEM

Description

This is an authentic antique English Late Victorian Scribe's Desk, also known as a Stationary Box. It is expertly crafted from mahogany with solid mahogany dividers, offering durability and classic style.

This listing is for one stationary box, complete with two glass inkwells.

  • Design & Features: Two decorative doors serve as closures for both the top lid and the drawer below.
  • Hardware: Features working brass hinges and latches. The lock functions correctly with its key, which cannot be removed until the doors are securely locked.
  • Included Accessories: Fitted with two glass inkwells, each featuring brass tops. The rim edges of the inkwell tops complement the brass knob on the box.
  • Condition Notes: The catch for the drawer is missing. One inkwell has a couple of chips to its base, and the brass tops of both inkwells show some corrosion marks.
  • Dimensions: Measures 38cm wide, 21cm depth, and 28cm high.
