ABOUT THIS ITEM
Description
This is an authentic MK123 clandestine spy radio set from the Cold War era, originally issued by MI6. The serial number #123926 identifies it as one of the later production radios.
Condition: Spares or Repairs
Due to the age and inherent fragility of this historical kit, it is sold strictly for spares or repairs. Please review the specific condition details below for a comprehensive understanding of what is included and its current state.
- Cosmetic Condition: The set is in good, but not mint, cosmetic condition. The grey outer case is currently not secured to the chassis as the tiny screws are missing, allowing the case to lift straight off. The internal components appear original and un-modified.
- Functional Testing:
- Receiver: Produces noises when powered.
- Transmitter: Untested as crystals are not available. The tuning light does glow when the MK123 is switched to transmit, indicating some power functionality.
Included with the Set:
- MK123 main radio unit (missing case securing screws)
- Original mains lead
- Condenser reforming module
- Original set of earpieces (cosmetically grubby, not recommended for actual use)
- Copy of the full handbook on CD-ROM
